I am so proud of Mr. P. He received an award today during Rise and Shine. Each month students are recognized by their teachers as a "Student of the Month." P was chosen this month. We are so proud of him. I didn't tell him he was getting it so he was surprised he got it! Also we do a Spirit Day theme and the kids get up and do something with the teachers. P was chosen and they had to decorate a Valentine's Day card and then the teacher had to dance. The teacher who got the loudest cheer won the spirit stick for their grade level. Well 2nd grade won it. Not surprised b/c my SIL was the dancing teacher for them. They did great! P had a lot of fun!
On another note, after Rise and Shine, our kids go to their pull-out classes. So we (4th grade) hadn't taught at all this morning and we 4th grade teachers had a meeting. Well we noticed it started snowing a little but didn't think anything of it but guess what, at 9:20 they called school off!! Talk about madness. We had to get our kids and get over 500 students to their parents SAFELY!! It was insane, but we have a beautiful snowy day to show for it. Now it looks like our last day is around June 7. :( Not happy about that! We have been out about 5 days now. This week alone has been 3. It has been a CRAZY winter and I am so ready for Spring!
