Soccer awards program

It has been a while since I last updated! What a month it has been! We were busy finishing up soccer and the 1st quarter of this school year. Hard to believe we are in the 2nd quarter of school already! In that time we had our soccer awards program and Presley had a program at school he was in. Our local Art Center scheduled for some "song writers" to come in and help the 1st graders write songs. All week long they did this and on Friday each class performed their song in front of the school. They even recorded their song too. It was so neat. Presley's class song was titled "The Inside Recess Blues". Since they had been stuck inside b/c of the rain!

On a different note........

This last week we found out our school district will start reconfiguring ALL schools. So our K-4 schools are going to K-5, Middle school will be 6-8 instead of 5-6, there will be a 9th grade campus (no more Jr high) and then High school will be 10-12 (same). We were told it wouldn't happen next year but then they came back and said yes it will. So we are all a little stressed as to who will be where. There will be lots of moving around and changing rooms etc this summer I'm afraid. We have no room in the building I am in and we are supposed to add 3, 5th grade classrooms in. So who knows what that means. But at least I will have a job, right?A?A :) On the brighter side, my kids will at least get to go to school together one year together b/c of this :) That will be a great year.
